URBAN ZOO PHOTO SHOOT WITH CLICK 79 PHOTOGRAPHY

Earlier this year the very talented photographer Lyndsay Roberts of Click 79 Photography asked me to do the make-up for her Urban Zoo Photo shoot.  The photo shoot was part of the final assignment for Lyndsay's degree which she gained a first in at Glyndwr University!  I had a brilliant day working with Lyndsay, Lorna who did the hair and the lovely girls who modelled.  Lyndsay let me get really creative with the looks which you can see below!  The photo shoot took place at Ruthin Castle and the heritage attraction Ruthin jail!

Here I am doing the Zebra inspired make-up

My Five Favourite Skincare Products

My clients often ask me what my favourite skincare products are, I have so so many, but I have narrowed it down to five, which are my real staples!

Revive - Moisture Renewal Cream
This is my night cream which I have used since I started working at Space NK seven years ago and I cannot see myself ever changing it, apart from about one night a week when I use a moisture mask to sleep in.  It is £105, but I truly think it is worth every penny.  It pretty much does everything that you want from a night cream lightly exfoliates, retextures, renews and moisturises the skin.  I use the original version, but if you have a dryer skin you would go for the supreme version.

Eve Lom - Moisture Mask
I love this product for when my skin feels like it needs a hydration boost.   On average I use it one a week to sleep in, but with a hydration mask I would say just use it when you feel like your skin needs it.  This is a lovely gel texture that sinks into the skin beautifully leaving it rehydrated, supply and soft.  It also prevents future dehydration and protects from environmental damage.  An added bonus is it is presented in a beautiful glass jar that would look lovely in any bathroom or dressing table.

Chantecaille - Flower Harmonizing Cream
This is my favourite cream to use in the day as just really works for me.  My skin is combination, oily in the centre but then can also be dry just around the nose and dehydrated on the cheeks, so the texture is prefect as its like a cream gel.  It contains essential oils, flowers, seaweed and vitamins which leave the skin hydrated, helps produce collagen and protects the skin from everyday stress.   It also reduced inflammation which is a great for me as my skin is slightly sensitive.

Emma Hardie - Moringa Cleansing Balm
I have pretty much used this cleansing balm every night with my clarisonic since it was launched in Space NK.  Its a beautiful cleansing balm that removes all make-up and eye make-up (even my smokey eye make-up)  leaving the skin fresh and clean.  It contains grape seed oil and sweet almond oil which pumps and softens the skin.  I personally think that a balm is the best thing to cleanse a skin at night with as it removes everything from the day.  This balm is also great as a lip balm and a hydration mask if left on the skin.
Nude - Detox Brightening Fizzy Powder Wash
This is a new favourite of mine which hasn't long been launched.   This is a gorgeous exfoliator that you can use three times a week. I put a small amount of the powder into the palm of my hand and added a little bit of water which makes it turn into an exfoliating paste. My skin feels very fresh and clean after and this product would be a great addition to any skincare routine as I think it would boost the products that are already being used.

I hope this has been useful for you and given you some ideas for new skincare purchases!
